Adjust the Name, Start Balance, and Dates if necessary and then add positions with the green plus next to Position. Once you have the backtest configured as you please, click Save to review the backtest before running it.

TIP: Save your progress!

If it will take a while to set up a new backtest, you should periodically click the "Save" button to save your progress. If you do not do this, and you do not make any changes for a while, you may lose your progress and have to start over!

After you click Save, you can continue to adjust your backtest parameters or positions. From here, you can review the backtest, see the cost to run the backtest, and when you're ready, click the green Run (play) button.

After you run your backtest, you'll be sent back to your backtest listing where you can monitor the progress (1). If you realize you made a mistake with the backtest or wish to stop it before it finishes running and your account is charged for it, you can click the stop button (2) any time while it's running to stop the backtest and send it back to edit mode for you to adjust.
