Adding Funds
Updated Aug 15, 2026
How it works
Every bot run and every backtest is charged to your Whispertrades balance, so the balance needs funds in it before your bots can trade. To add funds, click your balance at the top right of any account page, then choose Add Funds.
The whole payment happens on that page. You enter your card or pick a wallet and you stay on Whispertrades throughout.
What you can pay with
Debit and credit cards, Google Pay, Apple Pay, Venmo, and PayPal. PayPal is our payment processor for all of them, including the card payments.
Apple Pay appears in Safari when your device has a card in Wallet. Google Pay appears when your browser has a card set up. If you do not see one of them, it is not available on that browser or device, and any of the other methods will work instead.
How much you can add
Minimum: $10, or $5 for your very first deposit.
Maximum: $2,000 per deposit.
There is a fixed processing fee on every transaction, which is why very small deposits are not worth making: the fee is a much larger share of a $5 payment than of a $50 one. The first deposit is the exception so that trying Whispertrades stays inexpensive.
When your balance updates
Cards and wallets credit your balance immediately, and you can start a bot or a backtest straight away.
Paying by eCheck through PayPal, which is a transfer from your bank account, is the exception. PayPal takes several business days to clear an eCheck, and your balance does not move until it does. We email you when the eCheck starts and again when it clears, so you are not left guessing. If you need funds available today, use a card or a wallet instead.
Receipts and history
We email you a receipt for every completed deposit, with its invoice number. Your full payment and charge history is on the balance page.
If a payment is refunded, it appears as a Refund line in your transaction history and reduces your balance by the amount returned to you.
