Subscriptions

What a subscription is

A subscription is an optional monthly payment that credits your Whispertrades balance automatically, sized to the number of bots you typically run. It is a convenience that saves you topping up by hand. It is not a plan or a tier, and it does not change what anything costs: your bots and backtests are still charged from your balance at the usual rates.

The amount does not move with your actual usage. If you subscribe for four bots and run seven, you are still charged for four, and the extra spending comes out of your balance.

Starting one

Click Subscribe next to your balance. Choose how many bots you typically run, and the page shows you the monthly price and the per-bot rate for that quantity. Tick the renewal disclosure to confirm you understand the terms, then complete the payment through PayPal.

What you are agreeing to

Your subscription renews automatically each month at the price shown, until you cancel it. We email you a reminder three days before each renewal, so a charge never arrives unannounced. You can cancel at any time from Manage Subscription, and cancelling takes effect immediately.

Changing how many bots you are subscribed for

Open Manage Subscription, set the new quantity, and choose Agree and request change.

You will be sent to PayPal to approve the new amount, and the change only takes effect once you have.

Until you approve it, PayPal continues to bill your old amount. If you leave partway through, your request stays pending on the manage page so you can pick it up again.

If a subscription payment fails

PayPal retries a failed subscription payment on its own schedule over the following days. We show the date of the failed payment on your manage page and email you when it happens, so you can update your funding method in PayPal before the retries run out.

If PayPal's retries are exhausted, the subscription is suspended. A suspended subscription stops billing you, and any balance you have already been credited stays exactly as it is. You can cancel a suspended subscription from the manage page, and subscribe again once your funding method is working.

Cancelling

Cancel from Manage Subscription. It stops immediately and there are no further charges. Funds already credited to your balance stay yours to spend, and you can subscribe again whenever you like.

A subscription does not guarantee you never run out

Because the payment is fixed and your usage is not, your balance can still reach zero with a subscription in place. If that keeps happening, either raise the quantity or top up manually. The low balance warning emails work the same way whether or not you are subscribed.
