Bots

Notifications

To help keep track of what your bots are doing, you can set up custom notifications. These notifications can be for all bots, a specific brokerage account, or just an individual bot. Each notification will send at a designated time (such as when a closing order fills or the bot's profit is above a certain level), and you can also receive these notifications in multiple ways - Email, text message, push notification, Discord, or simply inside of your Whispertrades account.

To get started with bot notifications, visit your Communication page.

Once on the communication page, click "Add Notification" to set up a new notification.

Whispertrades Account

WT Low Balance

By default, Whispertrades will send you emails when it anticipates that your account will run out of funds 14, 7, and 3 days in advance. For more on that, you can reference our page on Pricingο»Ώο»Ώ

If you would prefer to set up your own, custom notification for a low balance, you can do that here. Simply select "WT Low Balance" for the notification type, enter the balance at which you'd like to be notified, and we'll send a notification when your Whispertrades account reaches that balance. If you have a custom notification set for low balance, you will no longer receive the standard 14, 7, and 3 day warnings that Whispertrades sends.

Delivery Methods

After you select the Notification Type, you'll then specify where the notification should go: Email, SMS, Website, Pushover, or Discord. You can send a notification to just one location, or you can send a notification to multiple locations.

Email

This will go to the email address that you've assigned to your Whispertrades account

SMS (text message)

This will send a text message to the phone number assigned to your Whispertrades accout. If you have not yet entered your phone number, you can do so from your Settings page.

All SMS messages sent by Whispertrades will deduct $0.02 from your Whispertrades balance. Additional messaging rates may apply from your carrier as well.

You can opt out of SMS messages by either removing the notifications from Whispertrades or by texting "STOP" to the number that sends notifications. If you opt out using a "STOP" response, you will need to text β€œSTART” back to the number that sends notifications.

Discord Webhook

Discord, a popular online chat service, offers external messages received via webhook. To set these up, you'll need a Discord server where you have administration rights. Follow Discord's instructions on creating a webhook.

Once you create your Discord webhook, copy the webhook URL that Discord provides. You'll need that webhook to provide when setting up your Whispertrades notification.

Send Limits

Notifications can become overwhelming if you have a lot of bot activity. If you'd like to set a maximum number of notifications per day or per hour, you can do that at the bottom of the notification form. These limits are per notification that you configure, so you can have different limits for different bots or notifications.

Derived SPX Price

Due to exchange market data restrictions, the underlying price included with SPX notifications is not the actual index price but is instead derived from the SPY ETF. Internally, bots use the actual index price for operation, but the notification price is derived from SPY.
