Community
Updated Aug 25, 2026
The Whispertrades community is a place for members to find each other, share strategies, backtests and performance, and talk about automated options trading. It is built into your account, so anything you share is backed by the same data Whispertrades already computes for you, and nothing you share has to be taken on trust.
Who can use it
Community access is a free feature for active Whispertrades members. It is not part of any paid service, and no subscription or payment buys membership. Access requires recent bot or backtest activity, it lapses when that activity stops, and it returns automatically when it resumes.
Community access follows your activity, not your balance. If you stop running bots and backtests for a while your access lapses, and the first time you run one again it comes back on its own. Nothing to renew and nothing to ask for.
You participate under a handle
Every member picks a handle, and that handle is what other members see. Your real name and email address are never shown by the platform. What you disclose about your own trading is up to you, and what other members choose not to disclose is off limits.
What you can do
Share your work. Publish a backtest, a bot, individual positions or an account performance summary. You choose the audience each time, and you can unshare at any point.
Follow traders. Follow members whose work you want to keep up with, and see who follows you.
Join groups. Public and private rooms with their own channels, for a strategy, a symbol or a circle of people you trade alongside.
Discuss. Threads, replies and polls, plus direct messages when a conversation should be private.
Browse the library. Everything the community has shared, in one place, with the statistics attached so you can judge it.
Save and compare. Keep the shares you want to come back to, and put several side by side.
Performance you see here is computed by Whispertrades
The statistics attached to shared bots, backtests and accounts are calculated from platform data, not typed in by the member sharing them. That is the point of sharing here rather than in a screenshot. It also means you should read them for what they are:
Backtest results are hypothetical, and past performance, simulated or live, does not indicate future results.
Nothing in the community is investment advice. A shared strategy is an idea to study, not a recommendation to follow. You alone are responsible for what runs in your account.
Paper trading is excluded from community performance, so a shared track record reflects real money.
The rules, in short
Do not reveal another member's identity or personal information, and do not impersonate anyone.
Do not misrepresent your results or cherry-pick in misleading ways.
No money changes hands between members. Do not solicit payment for strategies, signals or trading services, here or off the platform.
Debate ideas, not people. No harassment, spam, off-platform recruiting, or coordinated hype.
The full text is on the Community Guidelines page, and you will be asked to accept it before taking part. It is versioned, so when it changes materially you will be asked to review it again.
Reporting and moderation
Any member can report content or behaviour. Moderators review reports and act on them, and depending on severity and history that can mean a warning, content removal, a temporary mute, or losing community access. Inside a private group, the group's owners and moderators can also remove content from their own room.
Direct messages are not read by moderators, with one exception: if you report a conversation, moderators can view that conversation in order to review your report.
Losing community access never affects your bots, backtests or anything else in your Whispertrades account. It does take down what you had shared, and reinstatement does not put it back, so you decide what to share again.
