Backtests

Backtest List

A large catalog of backtests can be difficult to manage or sort through. To assist with this, you can take advantage of the ability to tag, search, filter, and export your backtests.

Tagging Backtests

At the top right of your backtest, you'll find a green plus icon that you can click to add freeform tags to the backtest

These tags will display at the top of your backtest and also on your backtest listing for you to search and filter by.

Searching Backtests

At the top of your backtest list is a search box. Type any text in this box, and the list will filter down to any backtest that has your search text in the Name, Status, or Tag.

Filtering Backtests

Use the Filters box at the top of your backtest listing to filter your backtests down to those with specific tags. If you leave this filter blank, all backtests will display in the list. Otherwise, any backtest that includes selected tag filters will display.

Merging Backtests

If you have multiple existing backtests that you'd like to combine into a new backtest, you can select those backtests from your list and click "Merge" at the top.

When you do this, you'll get a new backtest that include all positions from the original backtest. Your new, merged backtest will not have any results. If you'd like to see the results of the merged backtest, you'll need to run that new backtest.

Deleting Backtests

If you wish to delete a lot of backtests at once, you can do this by first checking the checkbox next to the backtest names in the list and then clicking "Delete" at the top of the list. As the popup says, this is permanent. There is no undo. Once you click delete, those backtests are gone forever, so proceed with caution!
