Whispertrades is a pay-as-you-go platform, although your account must be prefunded for bots to run. Each bot that you run is charged on a daily basis and only while it is active/enabled. We use a volume pricing plan, so the amount that you pay per bot will change based on how many active bots you have running (enabled) at the time.

Bot Pricing

50% Discount for Bots with No Open Position

If your bot is running but does not currently have a position open, then the bot will only be charged 50% of the rate above. This is for bots that are monitoring the market or waiting for schedule entry time but have no active position.

50% Discount for Paper Bots

All paper bots are charged 50% of the rate above at all times.

How Costs Are Applied

The charges above accrue throughout the trading day while the market is open. Only bots that are set to Enabled or "Disable on Close" are charged.. You are not charged for disabled bots.

If the market closes early or you disable your bot mid-day, that bot will not incur charges for the remainder of the day/session.

Funding Your Balance

To use our services, you'll need to deposit funds into your Whispertrades account. Every bot or backtest that you run will deduct from that balance. There are 3 ways to fund your balance: manually, auto reload, and recurring subscriptions. For all of them, you'll need to click on the balance at the top right of your account pages to get started.

Manual Deposit

If you prefer to oversee all payments, you can simply visit your balance page and make payments as necessary. We will send warning emails before your balance runs to zero, so you shouldn't need to worry about running out before you realize it.

The minimum deposit is $10, or $5 for your first one, and the maximum is $2,000 per deposit.

Auto Reload

If you don't want to monitor your balance and are okay with variable spend, Auto Reload will be the best answer for account funding. When using Auto Reload, you first need to save a credit or debit card to your Whispertrades account. Then, you can configure rules to automatically charge your saved method a reload amount that you specify when your balance reaches a level that you also choose. This is a great hands-off approach that adjusts based on your actual usage.

Monthly Subscriptions

If you would like to set up a monthly recurring payment so that you do not need to manually top off your Whispertrades balance but can also anticipate the same charges every month, you may do that from your balance page by clicking "Subscribe" next to your balance. From there, you can specify the number of bots that you typically run, and we will automatically charge your payment method for that number of bots every month. We will not adjust your payment up or down as you change your running bots. You can cancel or change your subscription at any time from Manage Subscription. Note that changing the number of bots you are subscribed for has to be approved at PayPal before it takes effect, and PayPal keeps billing your old amount until you approve it..

A recurring subscription payment is optional and just designed to reduce manual transactions for you. Depending on your subscription and actual running bots, your balance could still run to $0 with a subscription in place. You can modify the subscription or manually top off your balance at any time to avoid running your balance to $0.

Accepted Payment Methods

We accept all major debit, credit cards, Google Pay, Apple Pay, Venmo, and PayPal for all payments.

When Your Balance Reaches $0.00

We will send three warning emails if your balance is running low so that you have ample time to replenish before your bots automatically disable. These will go out when Whispertrades anticipates that your balance will reach $0 within 14, 7, and 3 days.

If you want to customize your low balance alerts, you can do so by setting up your own notification. To do that, visit your notifications page and add a notification for "WT Low Balance".

If your balance reaches $0.00, your bots will continue to run until the end of the current trading session, even if you are out of funds. Once the trading session closes, bot trading will be disabled for your account. We will not close any positions or remove position history. Should you decide to fund your account and start your bots again, you may do so, and the bots will pick up where they left off.
