Profit Targets
After assigning a profit target to your bot, the bot will immediately enter a GTC limit order to close your position at your designated profit target level. This is a standing order that will sit in your brokerage account, waiting for a fill. If you do not specify a profit target for the bot, the bot will not enter a standing order to close the position and will instead hold to expiration or exit or stop early if you specify another exit condition.
If you would like to close the position at a certain profit target, you may enter that here. When a profit target is set, the bot will enter a closing order for the position immediately after it is entered. The bot will manage that closing order until the position is closed. You should not manually adjust the closing order from your brokerage account, or the bot may stop working.
Changing the profit target on a bot will not adjust any currently working orders for open positions. Any open positions will continue to use their original profit target. If you wish to adjust the price on a closing order that is currently working, you can do so by viewing the order at Whispertrades.
If you would like to close the position at a certain premium value (price), you may enter that here. When a premium value is set, the bot will enter a closing order for the position immediately after it is entered at exactly the price that you specify. The bot will manage that closing order until the position is closed. You should not manually adjust the closing order from your brokerage account, or the bot may stop working.
Changing the premium value target on a bot will not adjust any currently working orders for open positions. Any open positions will continue to use their original premium value target. If you wish to adjust the price on a closing order that is currently working, you can do so by viewing the order at Whispertrades.
